We have implemented a new feature – “Automatic Photo Check by AI” for NaviTabi. If you upload sample pictures for participants, AI will automatically judge whether the picture taken by participants match the sample picture. This allows organizers to use not only GPS to check, but be more specific by making participants take photos. You can also be creative if you upload sample pictures that may force participants to look for small symbols or hidden items, to make it a bit of a treasure hunt.
Even if a photo is determined to be “incorrect,” the score will not be automatically revoked. Organizers can manually deduct points from the score on the play result screen if necessary.
Overview of AI-based automatic photo checking
- AI automatically judges photos as “correct” or “incorrect.”
- The automatic check photos at one of three levels: “correct,” “incorrect,” or “pending (needs confirmation).”
- Organizer can manually change the results of the automatic check by making a visual judgment. Operators must make a final visual judgment on photos that have been automatically checked as “pending (needs confirmation).”
- The status of each photo can be checked at a glance on the play result screen, significantly reducing the burden of manual work.
Photo check function and score management
- Scoring: Regardless of the result of the photo judgement, points will be automatically added when a punch is made (a checkpoint is reached) .
- Point deduction for incorrect photos: For photos that the AI judges to be “incorrect” or photos that are visually marked as “incorrect,” the administrator will be responsible for manually correcting the score by deducting points as necessary (points will not be deducted automatically).

Terms of Use
- To enable automatic photo checking, event organizers must sign up for the “Event Organizer Plan.”
- Sample photos must be set in advance for each checkpoint.
