You can now display vector shapes such as restricted areas (polygons) and routes (lines) on the app’s maps.
*There are slight differences in the appearance of shapes between the iOS and Android versions.
*The appearance of shapes also changes depending on the scale at which they are displayed.
Importing shapes by event organizers
If you sign up for the Event Host Plan, you can import vector shapes from a KML file for each course.
Tap “Import KML (vector shapes)” from the options menu on the course editing screen and select the KML file you saved on your device.
Imported shapes will only be displayed on the map in the app, but will not be displayed on the PDF map export.
Polygons (polygonal shapes) and polylines (broken lines) are the types of shapes that can be displayed.
Only one KML file can be imported into one course.
KML files of vector shapes can be created using tools such as Geospatial Information Authority for Japan maps.
You can freely set the line color and thickness, surface color and transparency, etc.
We look forward to receiving feedback from our users. We hope you will continue to use NaviTabi.
