New feature on NaviTabi now allows you to have hidden check points on NaviTabi. If you want to add some randomness and surprises to make Rogaining fun for beginners or non-serious runners.
Overview
With this new function, in addition to the usual checkpoints, you can now hide the checkpoint score or the location. Each checkpoint can be set individually. Use the setting that best suits the purpose of the event and the participants.
1. Checkpoints with hidden scores
- Only a circle indicating the location is displayed on the map, and no score is displayed.
- Player will only know the score when the checkpoint is visited and the score is added.
2. Checkpoints with hidden locations and scores
- Neither circle nor a score is displayed on the map.
- Player use hints provided by the event organizer to find the checkpoint and visit the actual location. The app will react when the location is reached and the player will collect the score.
Caution! This deviates from standard Rogaining rules
This function is an option that deviates from normal Rogaining where the location and scores of the checkpoints are critical in planning and strategizing. When using the feature in the event, we strongly recommend that the participants are alerted and explained prior to registration.
